Following the successful testing of the Teacher’s Guide, the Firefly Light the Darkness project continued and expanded its activities in the Firefly Light the Darkness project 2. Our team developed an additional training programme to train professionals working with children at risk, again on the topic of prevention of children trafficking for sexual exploitation. This was followed by training in all districts of Bulgaria lasting 2.5 days. The training included foster parents, social workers from the CPD, psychologists, speech therapists, teachers and other specialists working with children at risk. All of them shared the importance of the topic and the need for further training on it.

The hope of the participants in this project was the topic of prevention of child trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation to be included in the mandatory curriculum of the class in schools.
