The purpose of the evaluation was to study and evaluate the services provided by the FOR OUR CHILDREN FOUNDATION or children and families in the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv in terms of their relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability and to study the Foundation’s experience in providing early childhood development services and its impact on the context in which these services are developed and the overall work of the organisation.
The specific objectives and tasks of this evaluation include a study of the following areas:
2.1. Assessment of the relevance of services
This type of assessment measures the extent to which service interventions correspond to
– the strategic goals of the foundation
– the needs of service users and local communities
– the basic rights of consumers – children and families
2.2. Evaluation of the efficiency of the services
It analyses the degree of correspondence between the strategic goals of the organisation, the defined goals of the individual services, the applied interventions and the achieved results.
2.3. Evaluation of the efficiency of the services
The efficiency of the services will be studied through the following topics:
– the extent to which the resources invested and managed in the services lead to the expected results and how their use can be improved
– Special attention will be paid to how investments in the development of the Generali Foundation have affected the development of all services.
2.4. Assessment of the sustainability of services
The sustainability of services will be studied in terms of:
– material and financial resources
– offered services
– readiness of the teams
– cooperation with institutions, local authorities and communities
– participation in initiatives for change at the political level
Scope of the assessment – the services provided to children and families in the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv – the services are organiсed within 5 centres: CPC “St. Sofia”, Sofia; Happy Childhood Center, Sofia; CPC “For children and parents”, Plovdiv; Razvitie Day Care Center, Sofia, Foster Care Center, Sofia.
